Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958, in extremely poor conditions. Her father worked in the automotive industry while her mother worked in school and was an unreliable actress. Jennifer, the second-oldest of her siblings was a frequent attendee of theater with her mother. Jennifer was impressed. Jennifer's mother and father separated at age five. Jennifer lived in British Columbia for most of her childhood following the divorce of her mother, along with the other four children moved there. Jennifer was, despite having always been an extremely talented child however, she was not the most studious individual. When she was in Canada Jennifer was the subject of bullying often. As her love for theatre diminished, she started acting in shows to support her mom. All of her children were inspired by their mother to follow their passion for art. After that, she immediately began acting.
